Easy But Tasty Coffeecake

 

1 C. Brown Sugar

 3/4 C white sugar

1/2 C chopped pecans

2 1/2 C flour

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/8 tsp. nutmeg    

1/2 tsp salt

3/4 C salad oil

1 1/4 C Buttermilk

I egg

1 tsp. baking soda

 

Combine sugars, flour , spices, salad oil & mix into crumbs.  Take out 1/3 C of crumbs and add the nuts to it and reserve for the topping.

 

To the rest of the crumbs, add the remaining ingredients and mix until blended but don't overbeat. Place in a greased 9x13 pan.  Add the topping and bake at 350 for 30 Min. until bake through  in the center.

 

Any fruit may be added to the topping for variety
